Ford Endeavour; a Purposeful SUV with immense versatility

Ford India's flagship vehicle in the country is the Endeavour SUV and it has been selling it in India for quite a time. Most recently, in the month of April, The American auto-major came up with the latest iteration of the Endeavour SUV. This all-terrain SUV was launched in three variants - Endeavour 2.5L 4X2 MT, Endeavour 3.0L 4x2 AT, and Endeavour 3.0L 4X4 AT. It's arch rivals in the country are Mahindra XUV 500 and Toyota Fortuner.

Ford Endeavour pictures suggest that its latest generation is more stylish, dynamic and comfortable than the phased out one. The sleek headlamps and new fog lamp bezel at the front add a dash of sophistication and exquisiteness in the SUV.

Ford Endeavour price exceeds the Rs. 20 Lakhs barrier as it comes in a range of Rs. 19.83 - 23.06 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom, Delhi). It is rugged from outside but equally luxurious and comfortable from inside as it has Two-tone ebony & camel interior environment, Plush leather upholstery, and Leather wrap steering wheel & gear knob to enhance the lavishness of the cabin. Furthermore, Ford Endeavour features and specifications list also has 6 cupholders, Cigareete lighter, 3 nos 12V power sockets, Environment friendly dual AC, Independent control for rear AC, Personalised AC vents for 2nd & 3rd row seats, Height adjustable driver and co-driver seat belts, Front Centre Armrest with Storage Bin, DVD Player with touch screen LCD audio Unit and 6 speakers, Satellite Navigation, Reverse parking camera with LCD Display, Bluetooth Connectivity etc. to name a few and they lift the overall ambiance of the cabin supremely.

On the safety front, the company has incorporated Dual stage driver and front passenger airbags, Front driver and passenger side airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-Force Distribution (EBD), Seatbelt pretensioner & load limiter, and Seat belts for all 7 occupants (6 ELR, 1 Static) to maximize safety of the occupants. Under the bonnet, it has two different engines - a 2.5 Litre TDCi with Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) motor for base 4X2 MT variant and 3.0 Litre TDCi with Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) mill for mid-level 4x2 AT & top-end 4X4 AT variants. The former engine churns out top power of 143PS at 3200rpm and coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox while the latter one develops a peak power of 156PS at 3200rpm when coupled with a 5-speed automatic transmission.
