Mahindra Quanto is the company's latest offering in the compact SUV segment which is presently ruled by the likes of Renault Duster, Ford Ecosport & Nissan Terrano. It appears quite identical to Mahindra's another offering Xylo but dimensionally, unlike Xylo, it is a sub 4-meter SUV. The interiors too are directly sourced from the elder sibling Xylo. It fared exceptionally well in the months of its debut in India and was an instant hit but gradually started losing its charm. It is being offered with a total of 4 variants - C2 Base Variant, C4 Middle Variant, C6 With ABS, and C8 With ABS and Airbag.
Mahindra Quanto price starts at Rs. 6.08 Lakhs for the C2 variant and goes upto Rs. 7.85 Lakhs for the top-end spec C8 in Delhi. For your information, C8 also consists of ABS and Airbags, which is rarely visible in the requisite segment. The company recently introduced Yoga seats with this compact SUV to entice as many buyers as possible. Going by the Mahindra Quanto pictures, it can be propounded that it nothing much but a chopped tail Xylo. It comes loaded with a mCR100 Common Rail engine which is capable of churning out a top power of 100bhp at 3750rpm and peak torque of 240Nm at 1600-2800Nm. It is paired to a 5 -speed manual transmission to maximize performance and fuel economy. The compact SUV has a seating capacity of 7 individuals without any kind of problem. Even, the C8 variant flaunts stylish alloys.
Mahindra Quanto features and specifications are exhilarating and the compact SUV hoists an array of handful features like Sleek Digital Drive Assist System (DDAS) with Topper pad, Roof Console with Sunglass holder, HVAC(Heating,Ventilation & AC), Driver's seat height adjustment, Integrated audio system (CD, MP3, Radio, WMA, FM/AM Tuner), Adjustable Headrests etc. to name a few. The best part about the Quanto SUV is that it is one of the safest vehicle in its segment as it comprises of ABS, Dual front airbags, Child lock on middle & rear door, Front fog lamps, Intellipark reverse assist, Digital immobiliser etc. as standard safety and security features. Dimensionally, it measures 3985mm in length but every other aspect like width, height and wheelbase are similar to Xylo. And, as a subsequent result of reduced length, it weights almost 190kgs lighter than the Xylo. The mileage is quite ordinary, despite a frugal diesel motor as it yields a mileage of 17.21kmpl (ARAI Certified).
